VisArts Welcomes New Staff Members to its Team
The Visual Arts Center of Richmond (VisArts) added three new hires to its team. Clarissa Bannor joins the staff as Marketing and Communications Manager. In her role, Clarissa is responsible for VisArts external communications, including all programmatic marketing efforts. Clarissa earned an MA in Arts Management from George Mason University, specializing in Arts Marketing & PR.
Liana Elguero is VisArts’ new Community Programs Manager. Liana’s is a familiar face around VisArts. In past summers, Liana helped run ArtVenture Summer Camp and managed the Make Space Program on a contract, part-time basis. In her role as Community Programs Manager, Liana manages all VisArts community and school partnerships.
Matt Spahr joins the team as Studio Coordinator. He helps manage and maintain VisArts’ studio spaces. Matt is a sculptor and educator living and working in Richmond, Virginia since 2005. Matt received his MFA in Sculpture and Extended Media from Virginia Commonwealth University.
The VisArts team is made up of passionate and dedicated professionals (and artists) who are invaluable in helping the organization meet its mission to celebrate and support the creative life of all people through art-making, exhibitions, and community programs.
