ONSITE: Digitally Painted Portraits
Try your hand at making a digital portrait! In this class, you'll learn all about creating your own digital portraits, including composition techniques and ways to emulate traditional media like oil paintings. We'll start by sketching out some ideas, then move on to creating our own oil paintings!
Special Notes
- Students must have basic drawing skills, and portrait or figure drawing experiences. Students must have at least three high-resolution reference photos by the first day of class.
This instructor also speaks Mandarin Chinese.This is an ONSITE course. All onsite students are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Students are expected to adhere to our COVID-19 policies. Onsite courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. For more info please visit visarts.org.

About the Instructor
Dalton Zheng
Dalton concentrates on figurative art influenced by traditional Chinese aesthetics. As an artist who was born in China, Dalton’s minimalistic style is heavily influenced by his cultural background and contemporary life. Dalton is dedicated to informing a Chinese aesthetic with Western literary themes. His artworks evoke a quiet atmosphere with the clean line and subtle rendering, especially in his portraiture work.
