ONSITE: Hand Building with Clay: Mask Making (Ages 12-14)

Explore the depths of yourself and your imagination with ceramic mask making. We will explore the importance of mask making and its cultural history. Masks have been used to connect the physical and metaphysical selves. Using handbuilding techniques we will make masks to express different aspects of our emotions, energy, and personas. We will also use mask making as a way to assist us in sharing our stories. This class will be using clay as a medium to channel and portal out. Get ready to shape shift and transform!

Special Notes

  • Students will be asked to provide sketches of their ideas.

Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
