ONSITE: Illustrating in Procreate
Learn to draw complete works on your iPad using Procreate. Students will begin with a sketch in or outside of Procreate, then learn how to tighten their sketches, add color, and create custom brushes. Finally, students will export their work to Photoshop and learn to add textures and adjust colors for a finished illustration.
- Students should have an iPad and Apple Pencil with the latest version of procreate downloaded. Please come prepared with a rough sketch or an idea.This is an ONSITE course. All onsite students are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Students are expected to adhere to our COVID-19 policies. Onsite courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. About the Instructor
Theodore Taylor III is an artist living in Richmond, Virginia with his wife Sarah and son Theo. During the day he works as a front-end web developer while also maintaining a career as a children’s book illustrator in his free time. His work is inspired by his love of music, comics, animation, video games, street art and more.
In 2014 he received the Coretta Scott King John Steptoe New Talent Award for his work in When The Beat Was Born: DJ Kool Here and the Creation of Hip Hop. In 2015 the book also won the Texas Bluebonnet Award.
