ONSITE: Introduction to Chinese Ink Painting
This class is an introduction to basic Chinese ink and watercolor painting, including brush line drawing and ink wash techniques. Students will make small studies of a variety of subjects and a final painting from their own design.
Special Notes
- Due to a set of stairs, this classroom is not wheelchair accessible.This instructor speaks Mandarin Chinese, but the class is held in English.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. About the Instructor
Dalton Zheng
Dalton concentrates on figurative art influenced by traditional Chinese aesthetics. As an artist who was born in China, Dalton’s minimalistic style is heavily influenced by his cultural background and contemporary life. Dalton is dedicated to informing a Chinese aesthetic with Western literary themes. His artworks evoke a quiet atmosphere with the clean line and subtle rendering, especially in his portraiture work.
