ONSITE: Introduction to Silversmithing

Jump right in to working with sterling silver for jewelry. Basic jewelry fabrication techniques will be shown or reviewed including sawing, drilling, sanding, polishing, and soldering. You can expect to leave class with one finished piece of jewelry. This class is accessible to the beginner but is also ideal for someone looking to to polish their beginner skills by working with silver.

  • Some materials will be provided but others may need to be purchased based on individual student project needs.

    This is an ONSITE course. All onsite students are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Students are expected to adhere to our COVID-19 policies. Ashley Tamber

Ashley Tamber is the owner of Feral Blue, her jewelry brand, where she creates limited production and one of a kind pieces that are sold online, in stores, and at events all over the country. A Richmond native, she received her BFA from VCU in 2013.
