ONSITE: Large-Scale Oil Painting
Many famous painters paint large, and so can you! In this class, we will start with lessons on underpainting and work on the technical skills required to finish a large-scale piece of work. Students will learn many practical skills related to paint application, drying times and color mixing! This course uses oil paint as our medium, tackles handling a large canvas, and is open to all skill levels.
Special Notes
- Students will need to take work home with them between classes. Students should be sure that they can transport an 18" x 24" canvas.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. For more info visit visarts.org. Hi, I'm Tori! I love to paint and talk about art! In my work I try to reuse supplies and repurpose old fabrics to give them new life. My subject matter usually leans toward domestic scenes such as the home, and the incorporation of fibers help bring an expressive quality to my work. I love all mediums, but I use a lot of paper in my work in different collage forms.
