ONSITE: Metal Jewelry (Ages 15–18)

Explore metal! On our journey, we'll learn how to measure, shape, soften and strengthen. We'll also learn how to texture, form, cut and connect. You create your own pieces of wearable art along the way. Other techniques covered include: Sawing, drilling, texturing, working with wire, filing, sanding, polishing, riveting, annealing with a torch and fold forming. The techniques and skills students develop in this class leave great space for self expression and individual creative expression. Students will develop a sense of the creative process within class and they will leave feeling comfortable applying their new skills during future independent exploration.
