ONSITE: My Book, It Has Three Corners
Make three sided books in three hours. This workshop will cover a variety of techniques and covers for constructing triangle books, focusing on accordion book structures.
- Students should bring paper scissors, an X-acto knife or something similar, and a cutting mat or cardboard to cut on. Other materials will be supplied.
Due to a set of stairs, this classroom is not wheelchair accessible.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. For more info visit visarts.org. About the Instructor
Under the moniker Blue Skies Workroom, Alyssa designs and makes bags, aprons, books, and other delights for everyday living using her own screenprinted fabric and papers, lots of vibrant patterns, glowing colors, and sometimes chickens. You’ll find her work at Quirk Gallery, the ICA shop, Penland Gallery, and online at BlueSkiesWorkroom.com. Alyssa teaches workshops and at VCU where she served as the 2017/2018 School of Business Artist in Residence.
