Classes
ONSITE: Painting with Pastels on Sanded Paper
Learn more effective strategies to develop your soft pastel landscape painting (visual and color composition). Application, color mixing and blending methods for layering pastels will be reviewed. The practice of these methods will be enhanced on sanded and prepared papers with pastel for a wet-on-dry layering technique. The sanded paper surface allow pastels more "room" for layering the pastels and the use of solvents for a painterly effect. These methods will broaden your pastel skills and allow for spontaneity in your work. Show of artist works, composition development, demonstrations and critiques will be provided as needed.
Special Notes
- A prerequisite of drawing and a color medium (not necessarily pastel but a prior understanding of pastel is helpful).
Instructor speaks Hindi, but class will be held in English.
