After studying sculpture at the Rhode Island School of Design, Arden moved back to his home state to connect with the Richmond creative community. He brings his experience as an artist, facilitator, and administrative assistant at art handling and residency organizations to his role here at VisArts. He is totally amazed by the talent and enthusiasm of the all the artists involved with VisArts and is thrilled to support the exhibition and residency programs. Arden is also a writer and interdisciplinary artist working primarily in painting and textiles. He loves gardening, weaving, cooking, sustainability, and he dreams of starting a Richmond fiber collective.
