COVID-19 Safety Policies

Visual Arts Center of Richmond
COVID-19 Safety policies

VisArts is committed to the health and safety of our community. Beginning with our spring 2022 session that starts March 28th, 2022, we will require that all adults ages 18 and over be fully vaccinated, as defined by the CDC, in order to attend in-person classes or participate in our studio access program. Individuals must provide proof of vaccination and have this verified before they can attend their first class or work in our studios. Individuals that do not provide proof will not be permitted to attend the class.

VisArts staff, teachers, studio monitors, and volunteers working with our youth programs are already required to be fully vaccinated, which means that all adult individuals working in a VisArts studio will be fully vaccinated.

3 Ways to Submit proof of Vaccination:

  1. Upload proof of vaccination via our website.
  2. Email a picture of the front and back of your vaccination card to vaccination@visarts.org
  3. Show your vaccination card in person to VisArts staff at our front desk.

Submitting your proof early is extremely helpful to our staff, but we will also allow for individuals to show proof of vaccination directly before their class or studio access hours begin.

At this time, proof of vaccination isn’t required for youth students under 18 years old. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is also not required to visit the center, attend gallery openings or events, or for short-term volunteer commitments. However, as an organization that serves youth and high-risk individuals, we will continue to require masks in our facilities regardless of vaccination status.

We are accepting medical exemptions for COVID-19 vaccination on a case-by-case basis. You must submit a COVID-19 Vaccination Medical Exemption Form and receive approval prior to attending your class or open studio hours.  Complete and send the form below to vaccination@visarts.org
