Memoir Comics
Read works by autobio caroonists and explore how to best tell stories from your own life. This class will have lots of individualized project development, so beginners to experienced cartoonists are welcomed. Students may wish to work on their projects outside of class but it is not required.
Special Notes
- Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.

About the Instructor
Rae Whitlock
Rae Whitlock is a multimedia artist and educator living and working in Richmond, Virginia. She has an MFA in Performance Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she also taught Art History and Writing. She has had the pleasure of teaching all age groups through VisArts since 2019 and aims to make art fun and accessible for everyone.
