Michael-Birch Pierce

Michael-Birch Pierce is a fiber artist and fashion designer based in Richmond, VA. He has a BFA in Fashion Design from VCU and and MFA in Fibers from the Savannah College of Art and Design. He has interned for Diane von Furstenberg, invented a line of cotton paper sequins, and designed and embroidered Christmas decorations for the Obama White House. Pierce is currently an adjunct professor of fashion at Virginia Commonwealth University and the managing director of Anchor Studios. He is represented by Quirk Gallery in Richmond, VA.
