D. J. Cummings is a creative professional, working in leadership for the arts for ten years. His formal background is in Theatre from Radford University in Radford, Virginia.

D. J. never knows what to say when asked “where are you from?” He was born in Connecticut, started school in New York City, finished it in Richmond, and then moved to Chicago after attending college in the mountains. To make matters more confusing, he continues to frequent said places.

As an artist, D. J. is an actor and singer that has performed to Richmond audiences with Virginia Repertory Theatre, Cadence Theater Company, Richmond Triangle Players, and more, and has been recognized by the Richmond Theatre Critics Circle for his work.
