Rachel Deutch (She/Her)

• Program Support Manager

Rachel is a longtime wielder of paint brushes, instigator of mess-making and encourager of artistic dreams. She still calls St. Louis home, but has been a proud resident of Richmond for more than one year. According to the University of Mary Washington, Rachel mastered in education back in 2016, but she’s also pretty smart at studio art and knows a thing or two about linguistics. She has a double-whammy Bachelor’s degree to prove it. She joined the VisArts team in January 2018 as an intern, and just plain refuses to go away. You can also catch Rachel teaching art at VisArts and at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. She loves introducing students to materials and techniques that are new to them and she loves helping bring unique ideas to life.
