Explore traditional mediums to create futuristic landscapes and imaginative sci-fi concepts. For artists of all levels.

Special Notes

  • All necessary supplies will be provided, but you're welcome to bring your own if you prefer. We'll focus on technical skills using traditional mediums like pencil and ink to craft captivating sci-fi artwork.

    This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.

Dashiell Kirk

Dashiell Kirk is a illustrator based in Richmond. His work ranges from Comics and graphic novels to playing card games and posters. He teaches cartooning, comic book illustration, and ink drawing at the Visual Arts Center, and has a BFA in Communication Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University.
