Classes

ONSITE: Introduction to Interior Design

Explore key concepts of interior design: continuity, scale, proportion, balance, color and light. Slide presentations, class discussions and an opportunity to design a small interior offer a combination of lecture and studio time.

Special Notes

  • Paul’s class is lecture, slide and discussion based with a central design studio project centered around the student’s choice of interior space.

This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.

About the Instructor

Paul Bethel

Paul Bethel is the owner and principal designer for Paul Bethel Design. Paul Bethel Design began sometime in 2002 between freelance commissions and graduate school with the desire to be involved in different kinds of projects from the inside to the outside. As project and construction management positions became available, so did opportunities to learn from contractors, architects and engineers. Today, collaborating with potters, metal, wood and furniture fabricators, painters, artists and designers alike makes the experience more enriching and more fun.
