ONSITE: Metal Clay: Make a Hinged Amulet Box
We all have something precious we'd like to hold close. Use metal clay to construct a 3D, 'Inro' inspired box and learn to make a simple forming armature, 'strap' hinges and 'staple' hinge pins. Enhance the design with any metal clay friendly materials or techniques you know. Come back on Sunday to learn how to use an adjustable leather cord to make the box wearable.
Special Notes
- Please bring flat nose pliers and a single playing card to class. Leather cord will be available for purchase in class.
This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.
