Handbuilding with Clay (Ages 11-12)

Learn to create a variety of ceramic forms with your hands. We’ll cover pinch pots, coil-building and low-relief sculpture, which will allow us to create small vessels and beautiful clay tiles. We’ll also cover some basics about firing and glazing.

Metalworking (Ages 11–12)

Get acquainted with metal and learn basic metalworking techniques. Students will create individual projects using traditional jewelry tools. You’ll learn how to cut shapes using a jeweler’s saw and heat your metal to soften and reshape your work. We’ll also drill into metal, then utilize bolts, screws and rivets to connect it in new ways.
