ONSITE: Abstract Painting
Do you want to introduce abstraction to your paintings? Learn new ways to approach composition, color and process while finding new modes of painterly expression. We’ll work on new paintings in acrylic in a self-directed manner, leaving plenty of time for one-on-one discussion and in-class critiques.

- This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.

About the Instructor
Joanna Tyka
Joanna Tyka is an internationally acclaimed artist. She is a graduate from Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland. Joanna has worked and lived in Germany, Spain, and most recently in Florida. Her work can be found in many galleries and private collections around the world. In Virginia, you can find her work in Senate of Virginia, Dominion Resources, UVA Health System in Charlottesville and many others.
