ONLINE: Introduction to Digital Photography

Learn how to effectively and creatively use your digital camera and leave the auto button behind! You’ll learn the fundaments of photography and image capture, including aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, and composition. We'll also cover tips and tricks like choosing the right lens for your image. Weekly assignments, critiques and discussions will help you troubleshoot technique, explore new ideas and develop your own creative eye.

  • Students should have a digital camera with manual adjustment capacities and camera manual.

    This instructor speaks Spanish, but class is held in English.

About the Instructor

Andres Soulas

Andres Soulas is an Argentine-American professional photographer residing in Richmond. His work has been recognized in over 15 countries. He studied Fine Arts at the National Art Museum in Buenos Aires and at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. His work includes portraits, landscapes, travel, architectural and fashion photography.
