ONSITE: Intermediate Drawing Crash Course

Dive into realistic drawing techniques using both graphite and conte crayons as we draw from life and from photo-references. This class will explore additive and subtractive shading techniques, pencil sighting, compositional layout, and how to take, edit, and use photo references to create drawings that have depth and drama. This class is a great fit for somebody who already has some experience with realistic drawing and wants to grow their skills.

About the Instructor

Grace Mae Huddleston

Hello! I am an artist and educator. My teaching centers around empowering teens and adults of all skill levels to deepen their connection to art making. I have taught in community centers, schools, and universities. My teaching emphasizes technical skill building and I love it when my students put stories, personality, and deeper meaning into their creations. I primarily teach all things 2D from drawing to painting to mixed media but also have experience with textiles and performance art! In my own art practice, I create 2D works that work with creative writing to build fantastical worlds and tell stories.
