ONSITE: Painting with Gouache: Opaque Watercolor (Ages 9-11)

Explore using gouache paint, a unique material that's between watercolor media and acrylic paint! This paint’s versatility has attracted all types of artists and illustrators throughout the decades. Gouache is surprisingly easy to use and creates very flat color, great for pop art-inspired artwork. We'll explore a variety of skills with daily prompts and try many different styles.

About the Instructor

Tori Qualls

Hi, I'm Tori! I love to paint and talk about art! In my work I try to reuse supplies and repurpose old fabrics to give them new life. My subject matter usually leans toward domestic scenes such as the home, and the incorporation of fibers help bring an expressive quality to my work. I love all mediums, but I use a lot of paper in my work in different collage forms.
