ONSITE: Paste Papers (only offered a few times a year)
Learn to make beautiful decorated papers using pigmented wheat paste! A relative of marbled paper, paste paper is used for bookmaking and other paper arts. Various patterns will be introduced with room for play!
- Please bring an apron or wear studio clothes - making paste papers can get messy! All materials are water-based and non-toxic.
This studio is not wheel chair accessible from the interior due to two steps, but is accessible through an exterior door.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. For more info visit visarts.org. About the Instructor
Rosemary Jesionowski was born in Portland, Oregon. She received her BFA from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and her MFA from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, both with an emphasis in photography. She has exhibited her work most notably in Chicago, IL, New York City, NY, Los Angeles, CA, Phoenix, AZ, Cleveland, OH, and Richmond, VA. She currently resides between Richmond, VA with her husband and cats and Lake Charles, LA, where she teaches a variety of courses in Photography and Bookarts as Assistant Professor of Visual Arts at McNeese State University.
